About Lahontan
North Lake Tahoe's original private gated golf club community on 880 forested acres adjacent to scenic Martis Valley. Built around the Tom Weiskopf designed 18-hole and nine hole Par-3 golf courses, almost half of Lahontan is dedicated to open space. In addition, The Lodge, a private club comprising the restaurant, lounge, spa, fitness center, and golf shop, exemplifies the Lahontan mountain lodge architectural style. There are 509 home sites ranging in size from .5 to 1.92 acres.
The 350 member Tom Weiskopf 18-hole championship golf course was opened in the summer of 1998. The exquisite design, long fairways, and stunning vistas have integrated nature into a distinctive and challenging design which will result in a truly exceptional golf experience for players of all abilities. The championship course and the Par-3 course, which opened in 2001, demonstrate Tom Weiskopf's ability to combine classic and contemporary styles to create the most stunningly beautiful and purely enjoyable courses ever designed.
The Golf Club's four-season recreation center which was updated in 2008 and includes a member's swimming pool, clay tennis courts, places to picnic and barbecue, a sand volleyball court, sporting fields and a pavilion with locker rooms and showers. Camp Lahontan also serves as the trail head for members to hike and bike, as well as cross country ski during the winter months. The Boat House includes fishing docks, picnic areas, and picturesque gathering places. A community trail system beckons you to explore the more than 100-acres of permanently protected forest, meadows and wetlands. There is easy access to adjoining Martis Creek Wildlife Reserve.
